Perched atop Xinle Lu's historic mansion (elevator entrance via the ground floor clothing shop), Atica channels the soul of Spain through its elegant but unfussy approach. The restaurant's design is award-worthy — vaulted ceilings, a dramatic skylight, and a handsome bar anchor the airy dining room, while two terraces offer some of Shanghai's most coveted al fresco seats.
Vibe is polished and welcoming — the kind of place where lunch slides into dinner. Chef Ferran Edo Andreu's menu focuses on Spanish essentials done exceptionally well: jamón Ibérico carved to order, textbook tortillas, smoky pulpo a la gallega, and paellas that honor tradition. Atica also has dry-aged steaks, house-made charcuterie, and does mean G&Ts.
