Taoyuan Village is a Taiwanese chain that’s been serving traditional breakfast dishes since 2013. The one to get is the tofu pudding (doufuhua, 豆腐花), which is usually enjoyed as a savory dish with condiments of light soy sauce, dried shrimp, and kelp. The best combination with tofu pudding is a crispy fried cruller (youtiao, 油条), a hearty addition that soaks up flavor. Other items include soy milk (豆浆), drank on its own or similar to the tofu pudding, flaky baked pastries (shaobing, 烧饼), sticky rice rolls (fantuan, 饭团), steamed buns (baozi, 包子), xiaolongbao, dumplings, and more.
A good spot if you want to try a bunch of Chinese breakfast dishes all in a more modern setting. Opens early and closes late!
