COA is a high-profile agave spirits cocktail bar via Hong Kong, where it ranks #4 in the the Asia’s 50 Best Bars 2024, previously #1. There are four concepts within COA Shanghai’s new lane house home: Taqueria, Cantina, Salon, and Mezcaleria. Each concept on its own floor with its own menu and theme, all centered around agave spirits, alcoholic beverages made from the agave plant, like mezcal like tequila. Food is served at Taqueria and Cantina. The brand was founded in 2017 by bartender Jay Khan. COA Shanghai is now located on Middle Fuxing Road, previously located in Jing'an on Jiaozhou Road. It's also notorious for a long queue / wait time and a little overrated if you'd ask me.
