Chef Phannita "May" Kitjew, a Le Cordon Bleu alum, combines authentic Thai flavors with Western techniques and charcoal grilling — the kind of "new Thai cuisine" trending at hip bistros in Bangkok. Standouts include grilled Panang chicken, orecchiette pad Thai, spicy jellyfish salad, and stir-fried curry crab. Update September 2026: Akanee is relocating to Changning in October.
